Day To Day

Hello again! Well today got off to a nice start ... Gemma was off work this morning so I was able to get quite a chunk of work done. However she is out until about 7pm this evening which leaves us with a long day! Oh well!

I am currently writing this via my iPhone as BT are doing something or other, and it is leaving us without the net for 24 to 48 hours. Luckily enough I can work offline, but I need to get online soon!

No news of the Macbook Pro arriving as of yet ... bloody Apple! I love them, and hate them for keeping my new machine from me!

Well thats enough for now ... Niamh is currently happy with her bottle, and I'm working on Gems laptop so all is good enough!

New Computer!

I took a huge plunge the other week and ordered a spanking new Macbook Pro from the Apple UK Store (a nicely customised one) and am currently on tenderhooks waiting for it to arrive. It was ordered on the 6th March and it says it won't be delivered until at latest the 28th! Thats 22 days to get something from Shanghai to the UK.

As a comparison I ordered a Memory Stick to copy all the gubbins from my PC to my new Laptop from China, and that arrived in 3 days! Come on Apple, you're a huge company ... why the heck is your delivery so damn slow??

Yes I understand that my Macbook Pro is customised, but it doesn't take 22 days to get it to me! After all it cost nearly £2,000 which is a huge chunk of money. The least you could do to people spending a lot is expedite its departure and arrival!

Anybody out there purchased a computer from Apple, how long did it takes yours to get to you?

Did I disappear? Nope! I'm back!

Hello all! Well time certainly does fly, and I've decided to take this blog back up again after being contacted by so many people whose baby had Colic and were going through the same thing.

I'm happy to announce that Niamh is now completely Colic free thanks to Colief, and she is now a glorious 9 months old. She can do 'If you're happy and you know it!' and has just started waving goodbye too! Its fantastic!

Last Nights Report

Well last night, Im floored! Wow!

Niamh was still grumpy until about 11:30pm and then Boom! She went to sleep without any waking up in the night whatsoever ... utterly amazing! Gemma and I woke up this morning feeling so refreshed and generally happy, and we looked over into the Moses Basket and there she was - asleep! STILL! Hoo Bloody Ray!

I have to put a quick thanks into the lovely people over at The Urban Nursery for sending us 6 Dr Browns Anti-Colic bottles they really are bloody great! The bottles contain a valve which stops air being sucked in by your baby and therefore you don't get hardly any wind at all, and your baby remains happy as larry, or maybe larrys brother chuck! No idea!

Well tonight is band practice night, and I can't wait! Will be good to meet up with everyone again after holidays etc, I'll let you all know how it goes tomorrow!

Cranial Osteopathy

Well Gemma took Niamh to the Cranial Osteopath yesterday and she described the experience as relaxing. As usual Niamh was screaming from the moment she got in there as she had just fed and was full of gas & wind ... the osteopath took some details then did a couple of procedures that were all very gentle and Niamh calmed down immediately! Then fell asleep so the Osteopath couldn't do any more ...

The Osteopath said that we would have to come back next week so she can carry on the treatment and then we will notice a good change in her ... but could it be that we have finally found the right thing to help Niamh and the evil Colic ... maybe!

Im Back!

Yes it has been a long while since I posted on here, but the weird thing about having kids is ... who would know it takes up so much of your free time!?!?! Ah well ... here goes ...

Thanks first and foremost to the person who wrote to me about Baby Trolleys, a little update on that one ... some of the supermarkets round here have started to introduce these trolleys where you can fit your car seat to them. They are really really good, but the only downside to them is that little Niamh wobbles around in them so much when you aren't going over a smooth surface ... they need to invent a baby trolley, something with a little bed in it or something that would be awesome, oh and why not add an xbox 360 in there for me too!

Well colic is still here, and still bad! But its strange because Niamh has developed a pattern with it, about 8pm every evening she'll scream blue murder, then sleep at about 10, then awake at 11 and scream again until 3am ... fun fun fun!! We've tried everything, so today she has an appointment with a cranial osteopath which is meant to help, I'll let you know what happens tomorrow.

At the time of writing this both sets of our parents are away on holiday which is rubbish! We actually feel quite lonely as we were used to seeing them regularly since Niamh has arrived into this world, only one more week to go and we'll see them all again which will be nice!

Oh and finally, Niamh has started smiling properly in response to things that we are doing, so cue two photographs the first is a smile ...

And the second image is possibly the single greatest photograph of Niamh ever!

What you lookin' at!?

All IS Well!

Tonight has to be the best night ever! Little Niamh has been the best, and it looks like Gem and Me have finally beat this evil colic thing! Persistance is the key! I would really really recommend www.babycentre.co.uk for a great place to chat about your problems with your little one! Awesome!
